About Me

All About Yvonne

ALL ABOUT YVONNE.....

I have a great supportive family in my two great boys Alexander 7, and Raymond (nearly 21), and my wonderful partner of 10 years Jonathan.

Together we are Farm Managers on a 230 cow Dairy farm in Hawera and I am also a checkout supervisor and New World supermarket, part-time.

How it all began.......

My passion for crafting all began with my mother and I going to Dunkerley's craft show in Palmerston North when Alex was just a few weeks old. There I met a wonderful lady called Viv Storrier who was showing off her new hobby Creative Memories.

I thought that this was great idea Scrapbooking. So I got in touch with Viv who then invited me to her house for a workshop and that was that I was hooked. I then went on to have workshops in my own home and went to monthly workshops in Palmerston North (as I lived in Pahiatua at the time). As I was buying off my large wish list Viv asked me if I wanted to become a Demo, but try as she might I wouldn't sign up.

We then moved up to taranaki for a progressing in our farming career and I still did my scrapping when time aloud. I also got my eldest son and Jonathan into is in a little way and they all did pages for my scrapbooks.

Then BOOM my life was in turmoil I had a major mental and physical breakdown, and had been suffering from depression, and I lost my MOJO. Try as I might I couldn't even stick a peice of paper to anything all of my creativity was gone.

I decided to go to the women's expo in New Plymouth, and there met my Harry I couldn't meet his wife Sharlene because she was busy, but Harry sold me a catalogue of products from a company called Stampin Up. I had never heard of them but took the catalogue home and looked at over and over again.
Through councelling I knew I had to have some sort of interest for myself, and thats how I found myself talking to someone about Stampin Up. I could see the possiblities that I could make cards and also use the stamping in my scrapbooking. Inside was a coupon for $10 off my first purchase so I turned up at Sharlene's house for a $2 card session and I was hooked.
I then became a member of Sharlene's Stamp Club and started myself on the way to becoming a Demo, but this did take Sharlene alot of time and persusion. I had been doing classes for about 18mths when in May last year Stampin' Up had a great incentive deal going for National Scrapbooking month. So I decided to join, and even though I haven't looked back.
I am loving this great opportunity that I have been given and even my partner and yr old love to stamp as well. I didn't know that I could create half the things that I have I am just having a blast.
I have made some life long friends, here in taranaki, and world wide and hope to make many more. I have my upline and now my very good friend Sharlene to thank for this wonderful opportunity of becoming part of Stampin Up.
I would love to have the pleasure of introducing you to our amazing Stampin' Up! family, so call me or e-mail me and let's talk ...
