Mother's Day

Here are what we did in class today with the fabulous ladies who attend my class at the Babtist church every month. Usually we do 3 cards but because mother's day is not far away we made a basket out of the envelope die and an inlaid embossed card. They all loved this class and next month we have decided to do masculine cards.

Well don't fall off your seats this is the second post in as many days, I'm on a roll. Here is a sneek peek of some of the fabulous new products coming out in our Autumn/Winter mini due out 1st April.

I have also incorporated the sketch challenge for Try Stampin on Tuesday a great challenge blog that is still in it's early days, but go check it out. When they reach 50 followers on the blog a special prize is going to be drawn for one lucky winner so go check it out, before 31st March.

I was just blog browsing today and found another challenge site and thought I would give it a go so I incorporated Try Stampin on Tuesday with Stampin Celebration both of these blogs have weekly challenges so check them out by clicking on the links provided.

With these two challenges in mind I set about making my card, and I thought I would also give you a sneak peek of one of the great new stamp sets coming your way 1st April, this set is gonna be a big seller I can just feel it.

Smoky the Stampin Cat

Idon't know what attracts him to my desk, but every time I sit down to craft he has to come and help. Well I don't know what possessed him on Saturday but I was trying to get a card for a 2nd birthday for little Alex (not my Alex who is 7), a friends son.

I had stamped a few monkey's from Fox & Friends on white cardstock and was busy cutting 1 out WHEN along came smoky with dirty feet walking all over my stamped images, I was not impressed.

But he just loves watching me stamp, one day I will experiment with him!!!

Well here is the birthday card I made little Alex.
RECIPE:
Cardstock: Pacific Point, Early esspresso, Old olive, whisper white
Stamps:Fox and Friends
Inks: early espresso, tangerine tango, soft suede
Accessories: Two-step Bird Punch

Wedding Card

Well it's finally arrived and it's Kurt and Dayna's wedding day today. It was hard to come up with a Wedding card as I have never had the need to do one. But I wasn't about to let a challenge beat me and so I went forth and it only took me about 1 hour to decide what I wanted. I wasn't able to get to the wedding ceremony as I had to milk Kurt & Dayna's cows (someone has to do it), but it was fun milking for 3 days. We made it to the dance after and had a great time catching up with people that we know.

CARD RECIPE:
STAMP SET:
Because I Care, Occasional Quotes

CARDSTOCK: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, and Cherry Cobbler

INKS: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake

ACCESSORIES:
Bella Bleu DSP (retired), Eyelet border punch

This is the inside of the card as you can see I have used a small flower along the bottom. I have to say that I was very pleased at how this came out.
